A family have paid tribute to a “truly special” teenager who was killed in a two-car crash.

Suffolk Constabulary were called by the East of England Ambulance Service at 10.15am on Sunday after reports of the crash on Debenham Road, Little Stonham.

The vehicles involved were a red Peugeot 107 and a silver Volkswagen Passat.

Two teenagers travelling in the Peugeot died in the collision while the occupants of the Volkswagen sustained minor injuries, police said.

The driver of the Peugeot, now named as Amelia Miller, 19, of Stowmarket, was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge where she died of her injuries.

Her family paid tribute to her on Thursday in a statement issued through police.

They said: “Amelia was a daughter, sister, aunty and cousin.

“Amelia lost her life in a road traffic collision on October 18, she was only 19 and was so full of life and energy, a truly special person.

“She was a keen dancer before becoming a photographer. She loved heavy metal and rock music, as well as the occasional farming song.

“She loved the freedom of having a car, but her passion was motorcycles and she used to go for rides on her 125 looking for photo opportunities, which would normally include bikes or animals, often being goats.

“Amelia left an impression with everyone she met. She struggled with the school environment but left with fantastic grades. She really blossomed around adults in the workplace environment with her sharp mind and wit.”

Ms Miller’s male passenger died at the scene and has not been publicly identified.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the joint Norfolk and Suffolk serious collision investigation unit, quoting 37/61603/26.
