"I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present," Desronvil told NewsNation.

The lone dissenting juror in Lindsay Clancy's murder trial, Michael Desronvil, 48, has broken his silence for the first time on Thursday, since his one-against-eleven stand sparked nationwide debate.

Judge William Sullivan declared a mistrial on September 4 in the murder trial of Lindsay Clancy for killing her three young children, a tragedy her attorney said occurred while she was suffering from postpartum psychosis.

The nearly six-week-long televised trial came to an end after 12 jurors in Plymouth, Massachusetts, deliberated for seven days. Prosecutors supported the mistrial declaration.

"I didn't have any doubts. As I tried to explain different possible theories during deliberation, I kept getting cut off as if I had doubts based on the evidence present," Desronvil told NewsNation. "Based on all the physical evidence, key witnesses, and what the prosecution presents, I thought it was enough proof that she knew exactly what she was doing and planned."

Desronvil hires lawyer who reportedly represented Trump

Desronvil has since hired a lawyer, Attorney Edward Paltzik, who, according to Fox News, once represented US President Donald Trump.

The mistrial sparked intense backlash against Desronvil, including from his fellow jurors, who publicly leaked information about him that may have helped lead to his doxxing. His name was discovered by a true-crime blogger known as "Turtleboy," according to the New York Post.

NBC Boston then launched an investigation into him, which led to their reporting on domestic violence allegations against him, as well as financial issues that were brought into the public spotlight.

Former prosecutor Mark Astor and behavioral health law expert told Fox News Digital that Desronvil has retained counsel to "stand up for himself."

"I think there's certainly some indication that his name and reputation is now being dragged through the mud," Astor told Fox News. "The other issue, obviously, is he's basically been attacked not just by potentially the other jurors, but by Mr. Reddington on the foot of the courthouse, since we had that mistrial declared by the judge. So, I mean, I think he feels like he needs to, you know, at least stand up for himself."

Calls jurors 'activists' who wanted to acquit on 'day one'

In an interview with Fugitive TV on YouTube, Desronvil said that he has been targeted by individuals and by the media for his stand in the jury deliberations, as well as for his background as a black conservative.

He described his fellow jurors as mostly leftist "activists," with the majority having decided to acquit Lindsay on "day one."

Regarding his own stance, he said, "From day one, I always felt that she was guilty, and I never displayed or said anything about reasonable doubt."
