Emmerdale's Jimmy makes major life decision - then discovers the truth

Emmerdale has seen Jimmy King being tricked into selling his business as Ruby and Caleb Miligan's scheming continues.
In tonight's episode, Jimmy listened on as Nicola shared her decision to renew their vows. His financial worries worsened when a conversation with Mary Goskirk and Marlon Dingle made him realise he needed "a pot of gold" to send his kids to a good university.

Later on, a conflicted Jimmy sat by his dad and brothers' graves. When Charity Dingle asked if he was doing alright, Jimmy opened up to her about how he'd been thinking of selling the haulage business.
Charity seemed surprised as she commented that giving up the business would mark "the end of an era".
"It feels like, if I keep it, I'm letting down [Nicola] and the kids," Jimmy said. "If I sell, I'm letting down my dad and my brothers."
"I would just love it if, for once, I wasn't letting anybody down at all."
Charity attempted to cheer Jimmy up, reassuring him that he was a better dad than his father.
"You were gonna marry the guy!" Jimmy protested, to which Charity quipped: "Mainly for his money, if I'm honest."
Charity continued: "If you're worried about your legacy, Jimmy, it's not about what you leave behind, it's about who you leave behind and how you made them feel."
Speaking with Charity was what Jimmy needed to make a decision. He paid Ruby a visit at the depot, presenting her with the sale documents and asking her to keep it off the books so he could be paid in cash.

"You are rich," Ruby told him, smiling and shaking his hand. "It is a pleasure doing business with you, Jimmy."
At the Woolpack, Jimmy was still grappling with him handing over the business to the Miligans when he bumped into Kev Townsend.
As Kev told Jimmy he was celebrating after coming into "a bit of money" of his own, Jimmy said that a sabotage to one of his deliveries had had "ramifications".
"I'm sorry, mate," Kev said, ready to admit that he'd been the one who robbed Jimmy in cahoots with Caleb and Ruby.

Having a celebratory drink at home, Caleb and Ruby discussed getting Kev to do their dirty work.
"It was a stroke of genius you getting Kev to turn over that place," Caleb told his wife.
"That's Jimmy taken care of," he continued. "Now onto Joe."
As Caleb and Ruby have involved Billy Fletcher into their own crusade against Joe, and plan to have Dawn humiliate him on their wedding day, it seems that trouble is far from over for Jimmy.
Earlier this year, it was confirmed that the character, played by Nick Miles, would be killed off - though details of his exit are still under wraps. Now he's seemingly discovered the truth about Caleb and Ruby conning him, will he confront them? And will that be the end of him?
Emmerdale airs on weeknights at 8pm on ITV1, and streams on ITVX.
