Cyclone Arnab Impact: 42 trains cancelled including Vande Bharat Express, 70 others affected – full list

Trains regulated due to water flowing at danger mark between Ichchapuram and Jhadupudi stations in Visakhapatnam Division (Image: SCoR)

Cyclone Arnab trains cancelled: Indian Railways has cancelled 42 trains, while 70 others have been affected by Cyclone Arnab and heavy rainfall in the region. According to South Coast Railway (SCoR), train services have also been regulated because water levels are above the danger mark at Bridge No. 1052 (Up) between Ichchapuram and Jhadupudi stations in the Visakhapatnam Division.

To assist stranded passengers and reduce inconvenience, the national transporter is operating an unscheduled special train between Visakhapatnam and Palasa. The zonal railway has also arranged drinking water, food and other essential facilities for passengers.

Passenger help desks have also been set up at Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Vizianagaram, Srikakulam Road, Palasa, Ichchapuram and other major stations to provide information and assistance to affected passengers.
