The Story Behind Jordan Spieth's Wife Annie Verret and Their Life Away From the Golf Course

Translate

Plenty of famous athletes date models or actresses after they get rich on tour. Jordan Spieth went a different route. He has won three major titles in his career, with victories at the 2015 Masters and the 2015 U.S. Open before his win at the 2017 Open Championship. He is still with the girl he dated in tenth grade, and his wife Annie Verret still keeps her social media pages private.

High School Sweethearts in Dallas and College Apart

Jordan and Annie grew up in Dallas, Texas and started to date while they were at different high schools. Jordan went to Jesuit College Preparatory School and Annie was right down the road at Ursuline Academy. Most teenage couples break up once college starts. They stayed together anyway, even when Jordan played golf at the University of Texas in Austin and Annie went to Lubbock to study business at Texas Tech University. Jordan left college early to turn pro in late 2012 while Annie finished her management degree at Texas Tech in 2014. She never wanted to just follow him from hotel to hotel without her own job. She worked for The First Tee of Greater Dallas right after graduation and then took a job as an event coordinator for The Birthday Party Project to put on birthday parties for kids in homeless shelters.

Charity Work Together and Their Dallas Wedding:

The two of them also put a lot of time into the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation. Jordan started that charity with inspiration from his younger sister Ellie, and Annie helps him run it so they can support special needs youth programs and military families along with junior golf and pediatric cancer care. After dating for more than a decade, the longtime couple finally took the next step when Spieth proposed on Christmas Eve in December 2017. Less than a year later, on November 24, 2018, they exchanged vows at The Fairmont Hotel in Dallas, celebrating alongside fellow tour pros like Rickie Fowler and Zach Johnson.

Helping Jordan Win Again and Raising Three Kids:

Annie kept Jordan steady when he went nearly four years without a win between 2017 and 2021. She usually stays quiet about golf, though she gave him one big tip before he won the 2022 RBC Heritage. She told him to wait five seconds after he missed a putt before he tapped the ball in, and Jordan said that rule saved him several strokes. Home life in Dallas stays loud now that they have three young kids whose names all start with the letter S. Their first son, Sammy, was born in November 2021, and their daughter Sophie arrived in September 2023. Then their second boy, Sully, joined the family in July 2025, and Jordan says that time at home with Annie and the kids is the best part of his life.
