Chris Hemsworth's long-awaited Netflix action sequel just got a massive update.
Extraction 3 has officially hit a major filming milestone as the high-octane franchise prepares for its riveting return. The third installment in the action franchise will see Hemsworth return as Tyler Rake, a former Australian SASR Operator who has since become an independent mercenary specializing in black ops. The sequel sees director Sam Hargrave returning to the franchise, alongside Joe Russo as producer and co-writer with David Weil. Extraction 3 began filming in July 2026.
Now, Hemsworth has taken to Instagram, confirming that Extraction 3 has wrapped filming, posting images from Thailand where production was taking place. His post highlights his time in Thailand, while emphasizing the filming and training he did while in the country. It also adds to the reported locations the third film will involve, with initial reports stating the movie would be filming in Australia and Europe. While he didn't offer an update about its plot or its release, his post does confirm that filming on the sequel is officially over.
