Orascom launches free smart assistant for visitors to the Pyramids

Translate

Orascom Pyramids Entertainment—the company responsible for developing, managing, and operating tourism and leisure services at Giza Pyramids Plateau—has launched a free smart assistant for visitors, accessible via WhatsApp.

This initiative aims to enhance the visitor experience by providing essential information and guidance to tourists.

It falls under a protocol signed between the company and the Supreme Council of Antiquities to improve visitor services at Giza Pyramids site.

Powered by artificial intelligence (AI), the new service allows visitors to receive instant answers to their inquiries—both before arriving at the archaeological site and while exploring it—without the need to download any additional apps or create a new account.

The company said that the smart assistant supports Arabic, English, French, Spanish, German, Italian, and Chinese, among several other languages, enabling visitors from all over the world to use the service in their preferred language.

What services does it offer?

The smart assistant provides a variety of information and guidance to help visitors plan their trip and learn about the services available within the Pyramids Plateau area, including:

  • Tickets and Visiting Hours: Information on ticket types, operating hours, and site entry procedures.
  • Special Visits and VIP Services: Details regarding available packages and booking procedures for VIP services.
  • Getting Around the Pyramids Area: Information on internal shuttle bus services—including stops and routes—as well as golf cart transport.
  • Facilities and Services: Inquiries about restaurants, cafés, shops, restrooms, and other available amenities.
  • Visitor Rules and Photography: Guidelines regarding site visits, photography policies, and the use of drones.
  • Directions and Landmarks: Guidance on how to reach key landmarks, including the Great Sphinx and the pyramids of Khufu, Khafre, and Menkaure.

How to use the smart assistant?

Visitors can access this free service via WhatsApp by following these steps:

  1. Save the service’s phone number or click the link to start a conversation.
  2. Open the chat with the smart assistant and type your inquiry.
  3. Receive information and guidance regarding your visit and the services available within the Pyramids area.
  • Smart assistant number: +20 104 328 8426
  • Link to start a conversation: wa.me/201043288426

Visitors can also scan the QR codes located at the Visitor Center and throughout the site to begin a conversation instantly.

How does Orascom ensure the accuracy of the information?

According to the company, the smart assistant relies on information verified by the operations team at Orascom Pyramids—in collaboration with the Supreme Council of Antiquities—to provide accurate answers regarding services and the procedures that govern visits.

If an inquiry falls outside the scope of the available information, the assistant directs visitors to the appropriate authority, rather than providing unverified answers.

This service is part of the company’s initiative to leverage digital technologies and artificial intelligence to enhance the visitor experience at the Giza Pyramids site.

The approach aims to balance the preservation of the site’s heritage and archaeological value with the provision of modern services that cater to the needs of visitors from around the world.

Orascom Pyramids Entertainment—a subsidiary of Orascom Investment Holding—is responsible for developing, operating, and providing tourism services within the Giza Pyramids plateau, under a 15-year concession agreement with the Supreme Council of Antiquities.
