Amrita Arora Ladak reacts to Ozempic and Mounjaro speculation after her 14 kg weight loss: 'I let people say what they want to'

Amrita Arora Ladak has opened up about her recent transformation, which she described in a single word on Instagram: “Redemption”. The 45-year-old has lost 14 kg in the past few months, but she says the journey was about much more than a number on the scale.

More than just weight loss

The picture Amrita Arora shared online hinted at a big physical change. However, the actor, known for films like ‘Golmaal Returns’ (2008) and ‘Kambakkht Ishq’ (2009), told HT City that the change goes deeper. She said, “It was about the emotional and physical journey I have been through to reach a place where I am just so happy to be in. I have got myself back to what and where I want to be.”

A challenge she set for herself

Amrita Arora revealed that she took up the transformation as a personal challenge.

She said, “I took it as a challenge for myself. I was the worst version of myself for two to three years.”

Reacting to Ozempic and Mounjaro speculation

Her new look has also led to talk about how she may have used weight-loss drugs such as Ozempic and Mounjaro. Reacting to the chatter, Amrita Arora said, “Sadly, it has come at a time when all these words are flying around. I’ve been extremely petite since my early days and throughout my career… even after having two kids.

It was only 2023 that I kind of fell off the rails, and that is what stuck weirdly most with people.”She added that the rumours do not bother her. “I let people say what they want to because they are going to say things regardless. It’s all good,” she said.

About Amrita Arora Ladak’s family

Amrita married businessman Shakeel Ladak in 2009. The couple has two sons, Azaan, 16, and Rayaan, 14.
