Jakarta (ANTARA) - President Prabowo Subianto becomes the latest national leader to arrive in New Delhi, India, for the 18th BRICS Summit hosted in the city on September 12-13.

The presidential aircraft landed at Palam Air Force Station, where a red carpet and honor guard greeted the president for the official welcoming ceremony.

Prabowo was received at the airbase by Indian Minister of State for Coal and Mines Satish Chandra Dubey alongside other host officials.

Foreign Minister Sugiono and Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya accompanied the president for the summit delegation.

Welcoming Prabowo, Minister Dubey stated that a strong partnership between Indonesia and India within the BRICS framework will help amplify the voice of the Global South.

"India and Indonesia, as key partners among developing countries in the Indo-Pacific region, share the same vision of cooperation, inclusive growth, and mutual prosperity," Dubey said in his remarks.
