India's Kamaljeet and Suruchi Inder Singh won the gold medal in the 10m air pistol mixed team event at the Asian Games 2026 on Friday. The Indian pair finished on top at the Aichi General Shooting Range to give India its second gold medal of the Games.Kamaljeet and Suruchi were in control from the start. They scored 103.0 in the first series of Stage 1, followed by 202.4 and 303.5.

The Indians continued their strong performance in Stage 2. They scored 364.7 in the first series and stayed comfortably ahead of South Korea and Iran.

After 18 shots, India remained at the top before extending their lead with a score of 424.9 in the second series of Stage 2.Indonesia were the first team to be eliminated from the four-team final.Iran finished with 415.8 points to take the bronze medal, while India and South Korea continued their battle for gold.India held a seven-point lead over the Korean pair as the final stage of the competition reached its decisive phase.The Indian duo eventually finished with a total score of 484.6 to win the gold medal. South Korea took silver.Kamaljeet and Suruchi had also topped the qualification round to book their place in the four-team final.The gold medal is India's second at the ongoing Asian Games.India's women's cricket team had earlier won the first gold medal after beating Sri Lanka in the final.
