Jeremy Clarkson delivers Clarkson's Farm season 6 update as new episodes tackle "catastrophic year" for farming

It's been a remarkable year for Jeremy Clarkson. Following the release of Clarkson's Farm season 5, during which the TV personality revealed he had prostrate cancer (he is now in remission), he would go on to win a National Television Award for the Amazon Prime Video series.

Speaking exclusively to Radio Times (above) after collecting the gong for reality docuseries, Clarkson previewed season 6, which is currently in production.

"We've nearly wrapped on six," he explained. "A couple of weeks away from finishing that, and then it'll be edited and translated and so on. But nearly done six, and then who knows?"

Like farmers up and down the country, Diddly Squat has been subject to the difficult weather conditions over the past year, which Clarkson said has been "catastrophic" for the community.

He said: "It was an enormously challenging year for farming. What I've realised, again, I've been stupid. So, I have a pub as part of the farming enterprise. When it's sunny, the pub does really well, but the farm does really badly. When it rains, the farm does really well. I can never be completely happy.

"Whatever happens with the weather, I'm going, 'Oh, it's disastrous at the pub.' 'Oh, it's disastrous at the farm.'

"But no, this for farmers has been a catastrophic year, and we've grown three ounces of hen food, just an absolute waste of time."

Thankfully, while the weather has been tumultuous, Clarkson's health is in a much better place.

"I'm mended, I'm made of rock and steel," Clarkson explained. "Takes more than a little bit of prostate cancer...

"I would just say to everybody, if you're my age, get tested. Just get tested, because I did, and they caught it early and were able to mend it. I was back at work in two weeks – so get tested."
