Taxi boss Oupa Bafana “King of the Sky” Sindane’s application to prevent the Madlanga Commission from hearing his evidence has been struck from the court roll.
Sindane approached the Gauteng High Court in Pretoria on Monday when he was scheduled to appear before the commission.
The taxi boss also wanted to block the commission from reading his WhatsApp messages into evidence.
Sindane claimed that appearing before the commission could endanger his life.
He was subpoenaed to testify after fellow taxi tycoon and associate Joe “Ferrari” Sibanyoni’s testimony.
This is a developing story.
