Police seize over 60 kg. of drugs in raids across central Israel

A 44-year-old resident of northern Israel was arrested on Tuesday in central Israel after he was found to be in possession of more than 20 kilograms of a substance suspected to be cannabis, Israel Police confirmed.

Police conducted a raid on the suspect's apartment in the early hours of the morning and found, in addition to the 20 kg. of cannabis, more than 500 grams of oil suspected to be cannabis oil, an electronic scale, several cell phones, and a scooter.

Police suspect that the latter items were used to store and distribute drugs through the apartment.

Also on Tuesday, police arrested a Petah Tikva resident in his 20s on suspicion of possessing over 40 kg. of substances suspected to be a variety of drugs, including cocaine, MDMA, ecstasy, and cannabis.

The suspect was arrested following a raid on his apartment in Petah Tikva, which police suspect was his base of operations to store, prepare, and distribute drugs.

Police seize millions of shekels' worth of drugs in West Bank, Jerusalem area raids

In Jerusalem and the West Bank, Israel Police seized millions of shekels' worth of drugs in two separate raids on drug trafficking centers on Tuesday.

The first raid took place in Area A of the West Bank, after Palestinian police officers caught a 48-year-old Israeli in Bethlehem who possessed a large amount of pills suspected to be drugs, along with other hazardous substances.

During the raid, the suspect was arrested, and his vehicle was seized along with over 17 thousand Tramadol tablets and over 170 thousand Captagon tablets.

The police also raided a drug distribution site in Moshav Ahisamakh in the Jerusalem area.

During the raid, a vehicle was seized containing a large amount of drugs, including cocaine, ecstasy, MDMA, and ketamine, with a total value of approximately 90 million shekels.
