Super Eagles Drop Four Spots in Latest FIFA Rankings

Nigeria’s Super Eagles have dropped four places in the latest men’s world ranking released by the Federation of International Football Association ,FIFA, on Wednesday.

The Super Eagles, who were previously ranked 26th in the world, are now in 30th position.

Eric Chelle’s side also slipped from fourth to sixth place in Africa, falling behind Morocco, Egypt, Senegal, Algeria, and Côte d’Ivoire.

Nigeria recently featured in three international matches, recording one win, one draw, and one defeat.

The Super Eagles defeated Madagascar 2-1 at home before suffering a 3-0 loss to Guinea-Bissau.

They then played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Russia in an international friendly on Tuesday night.

Meanwhile, world champions Spain retained the top spot in the latest FIFA ranking, ahead of Argentina, France, England, and Portugal.

Brazil, Morocco, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Mexico completed the top 10.

The next FIFA men’s world ranking is scheduled to be released on Wednesday, 18 November 2026.
