Jennifer is a TV and Movie News Editor at ScreenRant. She started her journey in entertainment media in 2022 when she first joined Valnet at CBR before coming to ScreenRant.

Jennifer loves TV, especially science fiction. She also loves late-night talk shows, due to her insomnia. Alien: Earth is definitely one of her favorite shows, and she jumps on any chance she gets to write about it. Even on her days off, she will claim an Alien Earth article if one is available.

Jimmy Kimmel and Jimmy Fallon are two of her favorite late-night hosts, and Conan O'Brien before he left his show.

Her Alien: Earth coverage for ScreenRant is by far the work that she is most proud of so far.

She was initially a finance and political editor, but her passion for pop culture convinced her to transition into entertainment journalism.

During her off time, she loves to binge-watch cooking shows such as Kitchen Nightmares. Jennifer also loves spending time with her daughter and cherishes every moment of it.

The Fast & Furious franchise isn't hitting the brakes anytime soon.

Peacock is bringing the Fast & Furious franchise to television. The streaming platform has officially given the green light to its very first live-action series based on Universal’s action-packed property. The currently untitled series will be written by Mike Daniels and Wolfe Coleman, who will also serve as co-showrunners. Vin Diesel, who played Dominic Toretto in the majority of the films in the franchise, will be an executive producer.

The upcoming TV show is a major shift for the franchise that has grossed more than $7 billion at the worldwide box office over the past 25 years. While Fast & Furious has already transitioned to television with the animated Netflix series Fast & Furious Spy Racers, the Peacock project will be the property’s first live-action series.

The upcoming show was initially revealed during NBCUniversal’s Upfront presentation in New York in May 2026. Diesel announced at the event that the studio was developing multiple television projects connected to the Fast & Furious universe as part of an effort to expand characters and stories beyond the theatrical movies.

According to Deadline, the newly greenlit series is expected to premiere on Peacock in 2028. That will make it part of a very important year for the franchise. Universal is also planning to release Fast Forever, the eleventh and final chapter in the main film series, on March 17, 2028.

Diesel has been very protective of the franchise and its characters. The actor and producer stated at the Upfront presentation that the continued growth of NBCUniversal’s franchises and other projects helped create the opportunity to bring the property to the small screen in live-action.

Universal Television is producing the Peacock series. Daniels and Coleman will executive produce alongside Diesel and Sam Vincent through One Race Films. Additional executive producers include Neal H. Moritz, Pavun Shetty, Jeff Kirschenbaum, and Chris Morgan. Morgan has an extensive history with the franchise, having written multiple installments.

Daniels joins the project after serving as showrunner on Peacock’s PONIES. He has also worked on several popular projects such as Shades of Blue, Sons of Anarchy, and NBC’s reboot of The Rockford Files. Coleman has executive produced 9-1-1: Lone Star and Shades of Blue with his co-showrunner.
