2 drug suspects busted, P4.2 M shabu seized in Talibon, Bohol


TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol — Police arrested two high-value drug suspects and seized an estimated P4.23 million worth of shabu in Barangay Busalian, Talibon, Bohol Friday afternoon.
The operation was conducted at around 5:30 p.m. by operatives of the Philippine National Police – Drug Enforcement Group Special Operations Unit 7 (PNP DEG SOU7) and Talibon Municipal Police Station, in coordination with other police units and government agencies.
The two suspects are currently in police custody and are expected to face a foral complaint for violation of Article II of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

Col. Patricio Degay Jr., Bohol Police Provincial Office director, commended the operatives for the successful operation, and said that the arrest demonstrated the police force’s commitment to to sustain the drive against illegal drugs.
Degay said the Bohol police will continue pursuing individuals involved in the illegal drug trade to help keep communities in the province safe and peaceful. /gsg
