Tokyo Int'l Film Fest to Screen Cherry and Virgin, ghost – end of night, More Anime

The 39th Tokyo International Film Festival (TIFF) announced on Friday some of the anime films that it will screen this year. TIFF will take place in Tokyo's Hibiya-Yurakucho-Marunouchi-Ginza area from October 26 to November 4.

The "Animation Section" will screen the following films:

The tie-in TIFFCOM 2026 industry event will feature the following seminars at the Tokyo Metropolitan Industrial Trade Center Hamamatsucho-Kan venue:

  • "Japanese Animation's Global Expansion: 2025 Overseas Sales Update and Strategies from Two Studios" with president of The Association of Japanese Animations and president of Nippon Animation Kazuko Ishikawa, president of HumanMedia Inc. and vice chairman of The Association of Japanese Animations, Human Resources Development Committee Megumi Onouchi, editor-in-chief of Anime Industry Report, School of Network and Information, Senshu University Masahiro Hasegawa, director of international sales and productions at Nippon Animation Hitomi Hiratsuka, and director of Corporate Administration and IP & Communications, Production I.G Yōko Ueda.
