Fireboy reveals the song he wrote for Wizkid

Fireboy DML, in a live Twitch session, has opened up about the song he wrote for the Grammy Award-winning singer, Wizkid.

Nigerian singer Fireboy DML has revealed that he was involved in writing “Immediately,” the 2018 collaboration between Mystro and Afrobeats superstar Wizkid.

The YBNL star made the revelation while speaking about his songwriting journey and some of the songs he worked on for other artistes before becoming one of Afrobeats’ established names.

According to Fireboy, he wrote “Immediately,” which was released by Mystro featuring Wizkid in 2018.

The revelation has drawn attention to Fireboy’s work behind the scenes, particularly as the song was released around the period before he achieved mainstream success with his breakout single “Jealous.”

Fireboy also disclosed that Wizkid is not the only major Nigerian artiste he has written for, revealing that he previously penned a few songs for Tiwa Savage.

He, however, did not disclose the titles of the Tiwa Savage songs he worked on.

The revelation offers another glimpse into Fireboy’s career as a songwriter before and alongside his rise as a recording artiste.

Fireboy has since established himself as one of Nigeria’s prominent contemporary singers, releasing several successful projects and collaborating with both Nigerian and international artistes.
