SINGAPORE – SingTel and StarHub subscribers may be experiencing disruptions to their internet connections due to a fibre service outage, the two telcos said in separate social media posts on Sept 15.

In a Facebook post, StarHub said some of its customers may be experiencing broadband disruptions due to a fibre cut affecting multiple operators, but did not mention the location of the cut.

Separately, SingTel said it has been informed by NetLink Trust of a fibre service outage in Bishan, which may affect some of its customers in that area.

Both telcos said they are working with NetLink Trust on the issue.

On Downdetector, SingTel recorded a peak of around 120 reports of service outage around 2.30pm, while StarHub recorded 91 reports at around 1.40pm.
