Samuel L Jackson is becoming king of a new domain in the Tulsa King spin-off series, Frisco King, with the first-look trailer giving fans a glimpse of the action to come.

As Sylvester Stallone returns to screens this week in Tulsa King season four, creator Taylor Sheridan is setting the stage to expand the universe, starting in Texan suburbia.

After first appearing in Tulsa King, New Orleans gangster Russell Lee Washington Jr (Jackson) will be heading to Frisco, Texas.

But Lee soon discovers there’s more to the white picket fences, and hidden behind them is a "hustler’s playground", with smalltime hustles quickly turning into a lucrative business.

But in order to get his own criminal organisation up and running, he'll need a team – and it starts with college dropout Teddy (Gen V’s Asa Germann), who catches his eye and soon becomes Lee's ambitious protégé.

Soon he recruits a loyal driver (Yellowstone’s Kai Caster), a cheerleader who knows how to use her influence and good looks to her advantage (Outer Banks's Lilah Pate), as well as one of her close friends (English Teacher’s Savanna Gann).

As he continues to build a growing network of eccentric business partners, each new deal causes his influence to grow.

However, with power comes risk, and Lee has to stay one step ahead in order to truly become the King of Frisco.

The series will launch on Paramount+ from 18 December, with a two-episode premiere transporting us into this volatile world.

New episodes will then air every Friday.

As it’s connected to the Tulsa King world, Stallone has also been confirmed to be making a guest appearance.
