India took one step closer to its eighth Women’s Asia Cup title after defeating Bangladesh in the semifinal at the Dubai International Stadium on Thursday.
The Harmanpreet Kaur led-side will face the winner of the Pakistan vs Sri Lanka semifinal on September 11 in the summit clash.
India defeated Pakistan by seven wickets in a lopsided contest earlier in the group stage, while Sri Lanka defeated India by eight wickets to win the 2024 Asia Cup in the last meeting between the two sides in this tournament.
The Women in Blue are in search of a fourth Asia Cup title and have qualified for the final in every edition since the tournament format was changed to T20 in 2012.
