‘Cupertino’: CBS To Air Special Back-To-Back Episodes Of Legal Drama

Translate

Viewers will get to see more of Cupertino in the near future. CBS has slotted special episodes of the critically acclaimed legal drama in addition to its Sunday 10 p.m. slot.

On Sunday, November 8, new episode “Harper” will air at 8 p.m. ET/PT in place of Marshals, followed by two encore episodes “Michael & Olivia”, at 9 p.m. ET/PT in place of Tracker, and “Vik & Bo” at 10 p.m. ET/PT, in Cupertino‘s regular time slot.

The pre-emptions are not unusual. A natural break in the air order generally happens around this time of the season. Instead of airing drama repeats it’s an opportunity for the network to do additional sampling of Cupertino, which is rated 100% Fresh on Rotten Tomatoes.

In advance of the special airing, a new episode titled “Celeste” will air on Thursday, November 5 at 10 p.m.ET/PT), followed by another new episode titled “Yungwood” on Thursday, November 12 at 10 p.m. ET/PT.

See episode loglines below.

“Celeste” (Nov. 5) – Olivia recruits her friend Celeste to be the lead plaintiff in a class-action lawsuit against an AI training company accused of wage and overtime abuse. Meanwhile, Michael, Christy and Natalia track down someone with information on Bo.

“Harper” (Nov. 8) – When Christy’s roommate is denied a transplant due to an AI algorithm swapping the order of the list to put a wealthy man above her, Michael and Olivia race to get a judge on board to stop the surgery. Meanwhile, due to a traffic jam, everyone involved must fight this legal battle remotely from their cars.

“Yungwood” (Nov. 12) – Michael and Olivia try to save art and original music by suing an AI-music studio that is releasing copycat songs and negatively impacting legendary rapper Yungwood’s (Method Man) streaming revenue. Also, Michael fights through familial disagreements when he goes up against his dad as opposing counsel.

Created and executive produced by Robert and Michelle King, Cupertino stars Mike Colter, Rachel Keller, Ella Stiller, Busy Philipps, Renée Elise Goldsberry and Nik Dodani. It follows lawyer Michael Price (Colter) who is being cheated out of his stock-options by his former employer, a tech start-up. Refusing to back down, he joins forces with another recently fired attorney to represent those taken advantage of by the tech elite, and help them fight back in a high-stakes battle against the Goliaths controlling Silicon Valley.

Liz Glotzer and Sam Hoffman also executive produce.

Cupertino airs Thursdays at 10 p.m. ET/PT following Elsbeth on CBS and streaming on Paramount+.
