Aggrieved NDC delegates invoke curses on party executives over alleged bloated register at Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency

Some aggrieved delegates of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Atwima Kwanwoma Constituency of the Ashanti Region, who allege that their names have been removed from the party’s electoral register, have invoked curses on party executives over what they describe as their failure to address the issue.
Tension is currently mounting at Twedie, where the NDC constituency elections are taking place.
Some aggrieved delegates allege the names of qualified delegates have been removed from the electoral album and replaced with those of persons they consider unqualified, purportedly to favour certain candidates in the elections.
The aggrieved delegates say they have repeatedly reported the matter to the party’s regional executives for resolution, but their concerns have allegedly not been addressed.
They claim the failure of the executives to intervene has left them with no option but to invoke the Antoa deity, calling for spiritual retribution against anyone found culpable in the alleged manipulation.
“We have poured libation and slaughtered sheep while invoking Antoa Nyamaa and other river deities to deal with those allegedly responsible for the disputed changes,” they said.
Speaking to the media, one of the aggrieved delegates Gifty Kobbina she expressed frustration over the development, insisting that their sacrifices and commitment to the party should not be undermined by what they describe as an attempt to disenfranchise legitimate delegates.
“We have suffered for this party, and we will not allow anyone to cheat us. We are calling on Antoa to strike anyone who has a hand in this album manipulation,”she alleged.
The aggrieved delegates have warned that failure to resolve their concerns could undermine the credibility of the constituency elections and deepen divisions among party members.
