LIST: Canceled ferry trips due to southwest monsoon on Sept. 4

MANILA, Philippines — Some ferry trips were cancelled due to inclement weather brought by the southwest monsoon (habagat) on Friday morning, September 4, according to the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA).

In an advisory, the PPA said their respective port management offices (PMO) had reported that following trips had been cancelled as of 8 a.m.:

Port of Lubang — All trips cancelled due to no-sail policy by local government unit

The southwest monsoon continued to prevail and bring heavy rains over parts of the western section of Luzon on Friday, according to the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) in its forecast at 5 a.m.

Despite this development, Pagasa did not raise any gale warnings over the country’s seaboards. /jpv
