Anambra CP visits family of slain advertising personality

AWKA — The Anambra State Commissioner of Police, CP Nnanna Oji Ama, has visited the family of late advertising personality, Isaac Nwosu, popularly known as Aiza, who was murdered in Awka, the state capital, on Sunday.

Nwosu’s body was found inside his Toyota Hilux vehicle, while another body was discovered on the street on Sunday night.

Following the incident, CP Ama held a two-hour closed-door strategic meeting with the Command’s strategic and operational officers to reassess intelligence and information from members of the public, particularly within Awka, and strengthen security operations against violent crime.

The commissioner later paid a condolence visit to Nwosu’s family, describing the deceased as an asset to the state who would be greatly missed by his family and the people of Anambra.

Ama said the Anambra State Police Command would particularly miss Nwosu for his contributions to the Command’s security advocacy efforts and other duties.

He said he had directed relevant operational and investigative units to intensify efforts to identify and apprehend those responsible for the killing.

The commissioner reassured the family and residents of Anambra State that the Command would pursue the investigation with determination.

He urged residents to continue to have confidence in the police and the investigation into the incident.
