Boboye Takes Charge Of Edo Queens For WAFU B Women’s Champions League

Kennedy Boboye will take charge of Edo Queens at the 2026 WAFU B Women’s Champions League in Burkina Faso, Completesports.com reports.

Boboye will stand in for Edo Queens’ substantive head coach, Moses Aduku, who is currently away on national duty.

Aduku, who also serves as head coach of Nigeria’s U-20 women’s team, the Falconets, will lead the team at the 2026 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Poland next month.

Boboye brings a wealth of experience and top-level coaching expertise to Edo Queens as the Benin City club begins its quest for continental glory.

Edo Queens have been drawn in Group B alongside Côte d’Ivoire’s ASEC Mimosas, Ghanaian side Ampem Darkoa FC and AS Garde of Niger Republic.

The Nigerian champions will be aiming to win the WAFU B Women’s Champions League for the second time, having emerged champions on their maiden appearance two years ago.

The regional competition serves as the qualifying tournament for the 2026 CAF Women’s Champions League.

Burkina Faso will host the tournament from Sunday, 23 August to Saturday, 5 September, 2026.
