David Grohl, Wife Jordyn Blum Step Out for VMA 2026 Date Night 2 Years After Cheating Scandal

Dave Grohl and Jordyn Blum have learned to fly.

Two years after the Foo Fighters frontman admitted to fathering a baby outside of his marriage, he and Blum stepped out for a rocking date night at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards.

For the occasion, Blum and Grohl—who have been married for over 20 years and share daughters Violet, 20, Harper, 17, and Ophelia, 12—were a prefect duet in all black looks. Grohl, for his part, wore black pants and a matching turtleneck which he paired with a leather jacket, while at his side Blum stunned in a black dress featuring a bubble skirt. She styled the look with chic black heels and no jewelry.

At this year’s VMAs, Grohl and the remaining members of Nirvana—of which Grohl was the original drummer—Krist Novoselic and Pat Smear were honored with the award show’s Video Vanguard Award, the ceremony’s highest honor.

During their speech, the trio paid homage to the band’s original frontman Kurt Cobain, who died by suicide in 1994 at age 27.

“Kurt was one of one,” said Novoselic. “None of us could imagine that our band, our sound, and our aesthetic would mean so much to so many people. But ultimately the music had a life of its own. It charted its own course.”

He continued, “Nirvana continues to resonate so deeply because people are still hungry for authenticity, for something real, something uncompromising, something that tells people it’s just okay to ‘come as you are.’ Kurt would love that legacy.”

As for Grohl, the 2026 VMAs marks the fourth time he and Blum have stepped out to a red carpet together since his baby revelation in Sept. 2024. (At the time, Grohl affirmed he planned to be a “a loving and supportive parent to" his new baby while working to “regain” the trust of his wife and daughters and “earn their forgiveness.”)

In the time since, however, it would appear that he and Blum have once again learned how to strike the perfect chord.

Part of that is thanks to Grohl’s commitment to bettering himself, with the rock star sharing in March 2026 that he’d been attending therapy six times a week for 70 weeks.
