Super Eagles’ New Adidas Jerseys To Hit Stores In January 2027 Ahead Of Unveiling
Nigerian football fans at home and abroad will be able to purchase the Super Eagles’ new Adidas jerseys from early January 2027, marking the beginning of a new era in Nigeria’s kit sponsorship following the conclusion of the national teams’ 11-year partnership with American sportswear manufacturer Nike, Completesports.com reports.
The new partnership between the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) and German sportswear giant Adidas is valued at $8.5 million annually, making it one of the most lucrative kit sponsorship agreements in African football.
Completesports.com gathered that representatives of Adidas were in Lagos last month to finalise the jersey designs with the NFF hierarchy and discuss the unveiling date, among other issues.
Adidas’ Commitment to the NFF for Super Eagles, Others
Under the agreement, Adidas will pay the NFF $4.5 million in cash annually and provide an additional $4 million worth of playing kits, training equipment and other sports apparel for Nigeria’s national teams.

The agreement also provides for a 20 per cent royalty to the NFF on qualifying sales of official Adidas merchandise, potentially increasing the financial benefits of the partnership.
Former NFF President Ibrahim Musa Gusau disclosed details of the agreement in Abuja in August 2026, describing it as the biggest kit sponsorship deal in African football.
The contract, which has already been signed, is expected to take effect in January 2027, bringing Nigeria’s 11-year relationship with Nike, which began in 2015, to an end.
The new arrangement will cover Nigeria’s various national teams, including the Super Eagles, Super Falcons and the country’s youth teams.
The return of Adidas represents a significant commercial development for Nigerian football. The German sportswear manufacturer previously supplied kits to Nigeria’s national teams during memorable periods, including the country’s debut at the 1994 FIFA World Cup and the Super Eagles’ triumph at the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
Nigeria Fans Await Official Jersey Unveiling
With the new jerseys expected to hit the market in early January 2027, attention will now shift to the official unveiling, retail pricing and distribution arrangements for supporters in Nigeria and abroad.
However, the duration of the new sponsorship contract and the official retail prices of the jerseys have yet to be publicly disclosed.
