Kate Middleton dipped into Princess Diana’s collection as she attended the world premiere of Tom Cruise’s new film, 'Digger.' The Princess of Wales attended the premiere event along with Prince William while wearing a dazzling set of earrings that once belonged to William’s mother, Princess Diana.

The world premiere of Tom Cruise’s movie, 'Digger,' was held at Leicester Square, central London, on Tuesday. Prince Williams, who is the president of BAFTA, was one of the many famed guests who had been invited to catch a glimpse of Cruise in his brand-new form as a multimillionaire who is on the verge of causing an all-out global apocalypse in the film.He was accompanied by Kate Middleton, who was spotted wearing a stunning purple floor-length dress, which also featured a plunging neckline and ruched detailing at the waist.

The Independent reported that she opted to match the dress with Princess Diana’s simple yet iconic pearl drop earrings. Additionally, her necklace for the night was a statement piece passed down in the royal family.According to reports shared online, the Queen Mother’s Amethyst Sautoir Necklace. The iconic necklace last left the royal vault after Queen Camilla wore it to the premiere of ‘Skyfall’ in 2012. At the time, she was the Duchess of Cornwall.

The necklace had originally been a wedding gift from Queen Alexandra to Elizabeth Bowes-Lyon, the future Queen Mother, in 1923. Since then, the piece of jewellery has been an iconic addition to the royal jewellery collection.Cruise reunited with Prince William and the Princess of Wales at the premiere, as they were photographed together on the red carpet. The last time that Cruise had met the royals was when he invited them to the premiere of his film, ‘Top Gun: Maverick,' in 2022.
