In a shocking announcement, Paramount has officially settled an antitrust lawsuit that was filed by 12 State Attorneys General led by California's AG Rob Bonta. As it was the final obstacle to closing the acquisition of Warner Bros. Discovery, Paramount and its CEO David Ellison can now go ahead as planned. It was first reported by Bloomberg that settlement talks took place over the weekend (19–20 September); the settlement still needs to be formally announced, and that is to be expected later today.
