A$AP Rocky Details His, Rihanna’s Most Important Holiday Tradition
Rihanna Gushes She Is So Proud of “Baby Daddy” ASAP Rocky During Stylish Date Night!
A$AP Rocky wishes he and Rihanna could stay here for life.
The “Praise the Lord” rapper recently revealed how he and the Savage x Fenty founder have established a consistent holiday tradition with their kids RZA, 4, Riot, 3, and Rocki, 13 months.
“Typically, we probably just go on vacation with each other,” A$AP explained in an exclusive E! News interview at the WSJ. Magazine Innovator Awards Oct. 29. “But togetherness. That’s what we’re all about.”
The 38-year-old emphasized that from Beverly Hills to Barbados, “It doesn’t matter where we are geographically, as long as we’re together.”
And while the “A$AP Forever” rapper was stepping out solo to present at the event honoring Amy Poehler, the Savannah Bananas, Martin McDonagh and more, he assured that Rihanna and his daughter are always the only girls in his world—and his family is always with him.
“I just hung up with them,” he mused. “Baby girl is getting her bottle right now her mother just called me. She was being fussy, but she got to see daddy so she aight.”
Of course, an evening honoring innovation was perfectly aligned with where A$AP is at in his career right now considering his album Don’t Be Dumb—released in January and his first in eight years—is his most dynamic yet.
For A$AP, innovation doesn’t necessarily mean creating something from scratch—as long as you’re not stealing someone else’s flow.
“I think innovation can be drawn from different aspects,” the 38-year-old posited. “Most of the time, nothing is new under the sun—everything that we do, someone else did a derivative of or something similar once before. I think what makes something original or innovate is when you take things that already pre-existed and you kind of make a hybrid of something.”

And if you take what’s yours, you can take some more.
“Or when you kind of just do something that’s been lost for decades or centuries,” he continued, “and people don’t know about it or too many people aren’t hip to it and you kind of glorify it and make it a thing. That makes you the innovator—in my opinion.”
Meanwhile, A$AP is feeling “real hopeful” when it comes to the upcoming Grammy nominations—which, if nominated, could bring him his first win.
“I’m excited,” he mused. “I hope we win something.”

"It was harder for me to keep it from my posse, because they're around me, they know my habits," she told E!'s Justin Sylvester. "They're like, 'You don't want something to drink?
