Katy Perry and ex-boyfriend Orlando Bloom could be subpoenaed in a long-running legal battle over a $15 million Montecito, California mansion the former couple purchased in 2020.

Both parties were mentioned in a new series of legal filings in ongoing litigation between Carl Westcott, a  veteran who founded 1-800-Flowers, and Bernie Gudvi, Perry's business manager.

Westcott had previously unsuccessfully sued over the 2020 sale of the eight-bedroom, 11-bathroom home, saying he had been incapacitated at the time of the sale due to painkillers use following surgery.

A judge ruled against Westcott in the case in 2024 and forced through the sale to Perry, who the court told to settle the remaining balance owed on the home, which comes to around $4.06 million.

In a recent legal filings reviewed by The Daily Mail asking for an emergency hearing, attorneys for Westcott claimed that Gudvi, presiding over Perry's finances, 'has not paid the amount due.'

The Daily Mail has reached out to representatives for Perry, Bloom, Gudvi and Westcott for further comment on the story.

Gudvi this past June 30 'wired a partial payment of $900,000 but owes the remaining balance,' Westcott's lawyers said in an October 7 filing.

In the legal filing, Westcott's attorneys asked the court to move forward in serving 'a subpoena to examine third parties' Perry, 41, and Bloom, 49.

Lawyers for Westcott noted in the filing that Perry was 'Gudvi’s principal responsible for payment,' while Bloom is 'a managing member' of the LLC 'that took title to the house on May 17, 2024.'

Bloom 'would have knowledge of the assets of his former partner' Perry, Westcott's lawyers said in the filing.

Attorneys for Westcott said in the filing 'there is no doubt under all the trial evidence of Gudvi being Hudson’s... business manager who manages all her money... that [Perry] is a proper party for examination as to the non-payment of the remaining purchase price that she still owes to Westcott.'

In an October 7 response to Westcott's filing, lawyers for Gudvi said in the filing that it was 'obvious' Westcott was 'trying to harass' Perry, Bloom and Gudvi with the litigation 'as misguided settlement leverage for his pending appeals.'

Gudvi's legal team said in the filing that Westcott's team cited 'no law that would allow him to pursue third-party post-judgment examinations of' Perry and Bloom.

Gudvi's attorneys said in the filing that the remaining sum owed remained in limbo as Westcott is appealing a June 2026 decision that ordered him to remit 'a total of $3,415,257.07 plus interest for Gudvi’s attorneys’ fees and costs.'

Westcott had previously unsuccessfully sued over the 2020 sale of the home, saying he had been incapacitated at the time of the sale due to painkiller use following surgery

In a minute order issued October 8, Judge Joseph Lipner denied the ex parte application, saying that Westcott 'has not demonstrated any emergency' and 'to the extent that Westcott seeks relief from the Court, he may do so by noticed motion.'

Perry and Bloom initially began dating in 2016 and welcomed daughter Daisy in August of 2020.

The high-profile pair broke up in 2025 and Perry began dating former Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau later in the year.

Perry in September told People of her romance with Bloom: 'I wouldn't have stayed in something for nine years if there wasn't really important things to learn. Each relationship is a teacher, right? I had to let it go so I could move forward.'

She said of her romance with Trudeau: 'I always wanted this epic legendary love, and I was talking to my therapist about it: Everything in my life is epic, but this is kind of the missing puzzle piece — then it showed up.'

Bloom has since been linked to Swiss model Luisa Laemmel, 28.
