Alstom signs €1.2B deal to build new battery-electric train fleet in Britain

Alstom (ALSMY) (AOMFF) said Friday it signed contracts worth €1.2B with TransPennine Express for the supply and long-term maintenance of a new fleet of battery-electric trains in the U.K., supporting the ongoing decarbonization of one of Britain's most important rail corridors.
