MANILA, Philippines – The Kindle edition of Nobel Peace Prize laureate and Rappler CEO Maria Ressa’s latest book will be available at 99p (£0.99)* for one day only on November 26, Amazon UK has announced.
Ressa’s new book, The Fight Back: A Citizen’s Guide to Standing Up to Dictators, lays out practical strategies for citizens to resist authoritarianism and reclaim control over the technologies shaping their lives.
Drawing from Rappler’s experience under former Philippine president Rodrigo Duterte, Ressa argued that the Philippines offers important lessons for the United States and other democracies now confronting similar threats, emphasizing how the fight can start at the individual level and that it will take a global effort to reverse the world’s current course.
From Amazon UK’s page: “This is a frontline guide to understanding, defending, and rebuilding democracy in the age of AI, with 10 strategic goals broken down into 100 concrete actions citizens can take right now.”
