Kunal Kemmu & Preity Zinta's 'VIBE' gets 'A' certificate from CBFC

Kunal Kemmu and Preity G Zinta’s upcoming action comedy 'VIBE' has received an ‘A’ certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) ahead of its theatrical release on September 18. According to a recent report, the Examining Committee has not ordered any visual cuts in the film.

The only censor changes include muting one profanity and adding an anti-drug disclaimer.The CBFC certification record confirms that Vibe was certified on September 11, 2026, with an ‘A’ rating and a certified length of 145.55 metres.

A report by Bollywood Hungama states that the CBFC has left the film’s visual content untouched. This means the action, romantic and violent sequences in Vibe have not been shortened or removed following the certification process.

The only dialogue-related change requested by the Examining Committee was the muting of the word ‘B**** C***’. In addition, the makers were asked to include an anti-drug disclaimer at the beginning of the film.Following these modifications, 'VIBE' was cleared with an ‘A’ certificate, restricting its theatrical viewing to adult audiences.

The censor certificate lists Vibe at 145.55 minutes. In conventional time format, that translates to 2 hours, 25 minutes and 55 seconds.

Vibe marks Kunal Kemmu’s second directorial venture after Madgaon Express. He has written and directed the film and also stars in it. The recently released trailer has generated attention for its combination of action and comedy. It also features references and stylistic elements that have prompted audiences to draw connections with Kemmu’s earlier work.
