Star Wars: The Mandalorian Officially Makes Unexpected Return

Taking place five years after the events of 1983's Return of the Jedi and introducing us to one of the most adorable creatures in the Star Wars universe, The Mandalorian burst onto our screens for the first time back in 2019 and has since given us three seasons and a feature film.

Starring Pedro Pascal as a lone bounty hunter who is tasked with protecting a Force-sensitive child known as Grogu, the story follows them as they fight to stay hidden from the remaining Imperial Forces.

Receiving largely positive reviews from critics and the audience alike, The Mandalorian most recently welcomed feature film, The Mandalorian and Grogu back in May 2026. Originally planned to act as the fourth season of the Disney+ show, it was later transformed into a movie format, but it seems as though this may have been the wrong decision, with it becoming the lowest-grossing live-action Star Wars film, receiving mixed reviews in the process.

Nevertheless, it did introduce us to some memorable characters, with Embo and Keibu and now, the pair are making their return in an upcoming release.

Courtesy of Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes, a mobile collectible RPG developed by EA Capital Games and EA Mobile, Embo and Keibu will soon be joining the roster as announced in a recent blog post.

As the most successful Star Wars game of all time, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes first launched back in 2015, but after a decade, it is still going strong, earning well over $2 billion in revenue.

Now Embo and Keibu from The Mandalorian and Grogu will be making their video game debut as an Attacker/Leader/Bounty Hunter/Hutt Cartel/Large Character/Mercenary/Scoundrel unit.

The pair's full kit can be read in detail over on the official blog post, but it is safe to say that they will make a formidable addition to your team. However, their overall introduction reads as follows:

"Inspired by their appearance in Star Wars: The Mandalorian & Grogu™, Embo & Keibu enter battle together as a single Large Character unit. They embody the fantasy of a seasoned Bounty Hunter and Mercenary duo capable of tracking down the galaxy’s most dangerous targets and bringing them in warm or cold. For Embo, business is business; but no contract is handled alone.

"Embo & Keibu are a new Dark Side Attacker and Leader who bring a coordinated Bounty Hunter Mercenary squad to the hunt. Their kit revolves around stripping enemy buffs, locking down a quarry with Captive, and creating role-based bonus turns for Attacker, Support, and Tank allies."
