The first details about the Flowing Fists expansion for Pokémon Trading Card Game have been revealed, and there’s a lot to look forward to with the first set release of 2027. The next big expansion to the TCG is called Delta Reign. The release of Pokémon TCG: Delta Reign in global markets is scheduled for November 6 this year, and after that, we’ll spend some time without getting anything new. Of course, Delta Reign is already set up to be a massively popular new set, featuring tons of chase cards, so players and collectors will have a lot to do.
The cards in Pokémon TCG: Delta Reign are extremely exciting, featuring some high-profile chase cards that will keep collectors ripping booster packs. A lot of them are Special Illustration Rare (SIR) and Illustration Rare (IR) cards, like the new Raikou ex or Kecleon, respectively, but there are even more cards to look forward to. Even though this upcoming collection will keep fans occupied for months, we’ve finally received the first few details about Flowing Fists, the first big Pokémon TCG expansion of 2027 and what comes after the Delta Reign set.
Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists - Release Date
According to a new report by War Gamer, Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists will be released on February 5, 2027, in global markets. This is the English set, for reference. The Japanese counterpart, Aura Seeker, is being released in the country on November 27 this year. The English sets aren’t always direct adaptations of a single Japanese set, but the release of Aura Seeker will allow us to see some Flowing Fists cards ahead of time.
With the release set for early February, we’ll have a considerably long period between the arrival of Delta Reign in early November and the next set. This isn’t anything abnormal, as new set expansions for Pokémon TCG are often spaced three months apart.
Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists - Pre-Order Details
Even though a release date has been set for Flowing Fists, details about its pre-order and bonuses have not yet been revealed. As is usually the case with any new expansion for the TCG, the pre-orders for Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists will likely go live after the release of Delta Reign in November.
At this point, the pre-orders for Flowing Fists will become available via the online Pokémon Center storefront. A bit closer to launch, larger retailers will open up pre-orders for Flowing Fists. It’s unclear if any Pokémon TCG anti-scalper measures will be put in place for the release of Flowing Fists in the way that they were for the 30th Celebration set, but it is likely, considering how much scalping has been a problem over the past few years.
Pokémon TCG: Flowing Fists - Confirmed Cards
For now, not many cards have been confirmed for Flowing Fists, but it is known that the expansion will have Mega Lucario Z from Pokémon Legends: Z-A as its headlining mascot. The new Gen 9 Pokémon form will take the spotlight, and the title, Flowing Fists, is a direct reference to its martial capabilities. The main card in the set will be Mega Lucario Z ex, and it features the Aura Seeker ability, which lets you fetch a Supporter card from your deck.
Another new card highlighted by War Gamer is Sigilyph ex, a Psychic-type card with the Mega Protection ability and a devastating Power Cyclone move. The new Sigilyph ex card will be powerful for the meta scenario, so it may be a chase card for players. More cards will be revealed over time, especially following the release of Aura Seeker in Japan, so be sure to keep checking out the details and getting ready for the release of Flowing Fists for Pokémon TCG.
