Paranormal Comedy ‘Don’t F — k With Ghosts’ Premieres On Demand, Launches Original YouTube Channel (EXCLUSIVE)

“Don’t F***k With Ghosts,” a paranormal hybrid comedy from 5’7 Films, is now available to rent or buy in the U.S. on Amazon, Apple TV and Fandango at Home. The debut comes alongside the launch of Potluck Originals, an original YouTube channel from 5’7 Films in partnership with The Moment Lab.

In the film, real-life brothers-in-law Stu Stone and Adam Rodness play exaggerated versions of themselves who are convinced they’ve discovered the next paranormal sensation. The duo assembles a team consisting of a former Playboy star-turned-ghost-hunter, a professional wrestler and local psychics to bring home proof that ghosts are real.

“Are ghosts real? That’s exactly why we made this movie,” said Stone, who also co-wrote and directed the film. “And we’re still not telling. You’ll have to watch it yourself.”

The film also stars Tony Nappo and Josh Cruddas, with guest appearances from professional wrestler Colt Cabana, paranormal podcaster Bridget Marquardt and Michael Rapaport. Rodness serves as producer and co-wrote the film with Stone.

Following its Canadian debut, “Don’t F***k with Ghosts” is distributed in the U.S. by Filmhub and is a co-production between Stone and Rodness’ 5’7 Films and Winnipeg-based Fairpoint Films, in association with Toronto-based Farmhouse Productions. Kevin Hart’s Hartbeat executive produces alongside Kyle Bornais, Ira Levy, Ryan Kimel, Kent Sobey and Kevin Healey.

Potluck Originals, the YouTube channel from 5’7 Films in partnership with The Moment Lab, will feature a mix of unscripted and hybrid content. The channel debuts with 8-episode documentary series “The Great American Ghost Hunt,” where Bridget Marquardt takes celebrities on ghost hunts, including Howie Mandel, Jason Mewes, Symba, Marla Sokoloff, Alisan Porter, members of K-pop group FiveAlive and Cherie DeVille.

Stone’s credits include serving as an actor on projects like “Donnie Darko” and “Magic School Bus”; more recently, he directed genre comedies out of Toronto. Rodness’ credits include Netflix’s “Hemlock Grove” and “Shazam!,” as well as working as a music video producer with Drake, Eminem and Usher.

Together, Stone and Rodness have been behind feature films including 2020’s “Faking a Murderer.”
