Kamboj debuts, Siraj and Reddy back as India bat

India chose to bat vs West Indies
Anshul Kamboj flew in as an injury replacement and walked straight into the India XI for his ODI debut in New Chandigarh. However, he didn't take the place of the bowler who got injured, Prasidh Krishna. That place went to Mohammed Siraj, who had been on the bench for the first two matches. Kamboj replaced Auqib Nabi at No. 8, which suggests the team management expects Kamboj to be able to at least be able to hit a few if needed with the bat.
In one other change, India left out Ravindra Jadeja for Nitish Kumar Reddy. It is rare that India play without either Jadeja or Axar Patel. If you leave out the Afghanistan series earlier this series, the last time both of them missed out on the final XI was in January 2023, well before the last World Cup.
On expected lines, India chose to bat first after having won the series 2-0 winning the first two matches when chasing.
