Bologna won their fourth game in a row under new coach Raffaele Palladino, as Riccardo Orsolini pins the blame on sacked Domenico Tedesco. ‘We’re enjoying ourselves again.’
The Rossoblu had got off to a truly disastrous start under former Belgium international coach Tedesco, scraping one point from the opening four Serie A matches.
All three defeats were 1-0 scorelines, and he was fired on September 16 to bring in Palladino.
It has been a complete transformation, drawing the opener and then winning five of the next six games, faltering only 3-1 to Inter.
Orsolini sees Bologna turnaround

“The coach arrived in a bit of a rush, because we had started so badly and there was no time to discuss too much,” Orsolini told DAZN Italia after today’s 2-1 win away to Parma, their fourth on the bounce.
“We had to win games, he did well to get us all on the same page and bring us back together, seeing as this was a team that had done well over the years. We lost some important players over the summer, but the skeleton of that team remained.”
When Orsolini had praise for Palladino, he namechecked several previous Bologna bosses too, but notably left Tedesco out of the list.

“I’ve been here for many years and went through a lot of different situations. I enjoyed myself with Thiago Motta, with Vincenzo Italiano, and now we are enjoying ourselves again with Palladino.
“I don’t know how far this team can go, but we want to enjoy ourselves together. We rediscovered our smile.”

Bologna are climbing back up the table after four consecutive victories against Cagliari, Milan, Monza and Parma, but notably three of those were away from home.
This was Orsolini’s second goal of the season in just five appearances, as it was his comeback from almost a month out with a thigh injury.
