Translate

The FA Cup continues apace this weekend with the draw for the second round.

League One and League Two clubs have joined the action, with one of the pick of the ties seeing Robbie Savage facing off against his son, Charlie, as Peterborough host Reading.

The FA Cup first round ties began on Friday night with 2021 winners Leicester seeing off Oxford City. Elsewhere, 2013 winners Wigan are aiming to avoid an early exit at the hands of Boreham Wood.

Eighth-tier AFC Rushden & Diamonds and Stafford Rangers - the lowest-ranked teams remaining in the competition - face off against Burton Albion and Grimsby Town respectively, raising the prospect of a major giant-killing.

The weekend’s action will see 80 teams whittled down to 40 for the second round, with Championship and Premier League teams entering the fray in the third round.
