Noel Gallagher believes his willingness to 'compromise' with his brother Liam is one of the reasons Oasis' comeback ended up making the band 'better than' they ever were.

A backstage fallout between the siblings led to the band's split back in 2009, with the brothers not speaking until they reconciled in 2024 for their Oasis Live '25 tour.

They're now gearing up for an even more successful run of gigs next year - Oasis Live '27.

Noel, 59, has spoken about their reconciliation in a rare interview on one of the last episodes of Youtuber Amelia Dimoldenberg's Chicken Shop Dates.

Asking Noel if he had any advice on working with a sibling, he replied: 'I think you've got to be prepared just to compromise.'

While he agreed that compromising is 'key', he also admitted it's something he's had to work at.

Noel added: 'Yeah, which is something I'm not ordinarily good at. But I think it gets better as you get older.'

Elsewhere in the interview, Amelia questioned Noel as to how he and Liam ensured their reunion was a success.

Noel replied: 'You can't make sure. You've just got to hope that you can do whatever it is you're trying to do as well as you want to do it.

'And in the case of Oasis, it became apparent after maybe a week of rehearsals that it was going to be as good if not better than it ever was.'

Oasis have an epic back catalogue of songs, with the most famous tracks including Wonderwall, Don't Look Back in Anger and Stop Crying Your Heart Out.

Champagne Supernova is another popular choice among fans, but Noel admitted the meaning of the classic tune has changed for him since it was released back in 1995.

He mused: 'It was nonsensical in the 90s, and then it's taken on more meaning for a new generation. I've still got no idea what 'slowly walking down the hall, faster than a cannonball' means…'

As Amelia said that it could just mean you were 'moving really fast', Noel cheekily said: 'I think it's a drug reference.'

Earlier this week, Liam, 54, sent fans wild by appearing to confirm Oasis have a new album on the way.

The Live Forever singer is known to tease his fans on social media about upcoming Oasis activity.

And this week the musician seemed to confirm that fans can gear up for a new record from the Britpop band.

Taking to Twitter on Tuesday, one fan penned: 'Oasis have SEVEN great albums and those songs with LIVE FOREVER.'

Liam then chimed in with: '8 including the new 1, I mean happy birthday. (sic)'

It comes after the frontman of the legendary Britpop group suggested more concerts could follow the Oasis Live '27 tour - if the band come up with some new music.
