PNP reenacts Banga school shooting to identify security gaps

The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Monday conducted a reenactment of the shooting incident at a school in Banga, South Cotabato, to identify possible security gaps and prevent similar incidents in the future.
At a press briefing, PNP spokesperson Police Colonel Allen Rae Co said the reenactment at Banga National High School would help investigators determine what happened during the incident.
“We will be able to identify weaknesses in our security. These are the security measures being implemented by schools,” Co said.
“Where can someone enter? Where are the loopholes and shortcomings? This is the importance of reenacting what happened, to identify the gaps and determine how we can improve security in schools,” he added.
According to Co, Interior Secretary Jonvic Remulla and PNP chief Police General Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr. personally went to Banga for the reenactment.
On Friday, at least three students were killed and eight others were injured in the shooting at the Banga school.— MCG, GMA News
