Asian Games 2026: India misses bronze medal in 10m air pistol women’s team on inner 10s; Manu Bhaker enters individual final

India missed out on a medal by the barest of margins at the Asian Games 2026 tally after the 10m air pistol women’s team finished fourth on Wednesday.
The trio of Manu Bhaker, Esha Singh, and Suruchi Singh scored 1719, the same as Vietnam which bagged bronze, but the Indian team had two lesser inner 10s. Vietnam shot 46 inner 10s, while India’s tally stood at 44.
China and South Korea took the team gold and silver medals with scores of 1735 and 1730 respectively.
Meanwhile, Manu entered the individual final after finishing third in qualification with a score of 579, which included 20 inner 10s.
South Korea’s Gaeun Choo topped the qualification standings with 582 (19 inner 10s), while China’s Ranxin Jiang came second with 580 (22 inner 10s).
The other Indians in the field failed to advance to the medal round after Esha finished 15th with 572 and Suruchi finished 26th with 568.
