However, Giancarlo Esposito won't be back as Stanley Johnston, according to Deadline, while Daniel Ings was previously confirmed not to be returning as Freddy Horniman.

The third season sees their characters Eddie and Susie "embark upon their most audacious project yet: building a casino in the Middle East", though "with danger lurking around every corner, has the Duke’s unchecked ambition finally gone too far?".

The show was renewed for a third run over the summer, shortly before the release of season two, creator Guy Ritchie saying at the time: "The ambition of The Gentlemen has accelerated, the world has expanded and the consequences carry weight.

"A third season felt inevitable, and I’m looking forward to pushing the boundaries of it further."

The Gentlemen seasons 1-2 are streaming now on Netflix.
