Officers responded to reports of a "violent home invasion" at a residence near Hyde Park Circle and Post Road Thursday morning, Toronto police said Thursday.
Police said three suspects, armed with handguns and a hammer, forced their way into the home, made demands for valuables and attacked four adults in the home — a 75-year-old father, 64-year-old mother and their 26 and 28-year-old daughters.
The news conference on Saturday will take place at 10 a.m. with updates from Insp. Kristy Smith of the Toronto police's Hold Up Squad.
David Morton, CEO of MAC Group, said three members of his family are recovering in hospital after they were shot during the home invasion. All four members of the family were also attacked with a hammer, he said in an emailed statement issued Friday.

On Friday, police requested the public's help to identify and locate the three suspects, who fled the area in a dark coloured SUV.
The suspects are described as men in their 20s wearing dark clothing and face masks.
All three men are considered to be armed and dangerous, police said.
