A mother allegedly slit the throat of her daughter in their house in the town of Oton in Iloilo while her husband was away for work, according to the report of GMA Regional TV's John Sala in "State of the Nation."
The mother of 11-year-old "Nene," who has since been arrested, denied the allegation.
However, father of the victim said his wife may have mental health issues after she had two miscarriages in the past.
Authorities are waiting for the decision of the victim's father whether or not to file a case against his wife.
