Augsburg midfielder Robin Fellhauer scored the fastest goal in Bundesliga history on Saturday, finding the net in under nine seconds against Bayern Munich.
The Bundesliga reported the record on its website after Fellhauer’s early strike in the sides’ encounter.
Fellhauer capitalised on a mistake by Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer shortly after kick-off to set a new record.
Bayern started the match, with striker Harry Kane passing the ball back to Neuer from the centre circle.
However, Neuer took a heavy touch before attempting to lift the ball over the onrushing Fellhauer. The Augsburg midfielder anticipated the move, intercepted the ball and raced forward before slotting it into the net.

The match ended in a 2-2 draw, with Bayern recovering twice after falling behind to share the points with Augsburg.
The goal broke the previous record of nine seconds, which was jointly held by Kevin Volland and Karim Bellarabi.
Volland scored for Hoffenheim against Bayern in 2015, while Bellarabi netted for Bayer Leverkusen against Borussia Dortmund in 2014.
