Photo of Fan in Mosh Pit at Oasis’ Buenos Aires Concert Up for Prestigious Abbey Road Award

A photograph capturing an Oasis fan in the middle of a mosh pit during the band’s reunion shows in Buenos Aires has been nominated for a prestigious Abbey Road Music Photography Award.
Taken by Manchester photographer Joshua Halling during Oasis’ November 2025 run at River Plate Stadium, the image is one of five finalists for Music Moment of the Year. Rather than Liam or Noel Gallagher, Halling’s shot centers on a single fan with an Oasis T-shirt amid the swirling crowd around him.

“It’s always an honour to be recognised for capturing a certain tour or moment in time, but to have a photo like this one up for an Abbey Road award, really does sum up the pure chaos, unity, energy and joy last year brought to so many people all around the world in a single frame,” Halling said through a post on X.
Oasis played two sold-out nights at River Plate stadium on November 15th and 16th, 2025, marking their first Argentina shows in 16 years.
The Gallagher brothers have long celebrated the country’s famously fervent audiences: Noel once called Argentina “a special place for us” and described Buenos Aires crowds as “completely crazy,” while Liam similarly called Argentine fans “crazy” ahead of the reunion shows.
Halling’s photograph is competing against images of Kendrick Lamar, Charli xcx, Lambrini Girls, and another Oasis shot. The 2026 Abbey Road Music Photography Awards received more than 24,500 submissions from 42 countries, with winners set to be announced September 24th.
