Mckenna Grace On Declining Nude Scenes: “I Respect Anybody Who Can, But It’s Terrifying To Me”

Translate

Mckenna Grace has opened up about refusing to do nude scenes in film, and she has a powerful reason why.

In a new interview, the star of The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping shared why she won’t be doing any nudity in her acting roles.

“At this point, I definitely don’t do nudity or very hypersexual things,” the actress told Cosmopolitan. “I respect anybody who can, but it’s terrifying to me. I don’t know if that’ll ever change.”

She continued, “It’s not like I only do wholesome things — my character literally gets gutted by Ghostface in Scream — but my dream is to try and be a Disney princess someday.”

Grace stars in the new Hunger Games prequel as Maysilee Donner. The film is set in the world of Panem 24 years before the events of The Hunger Games and follows a 16-year-old Haymitch Abernathy, played by Joseph Zada, as he enters the arena and forms an unlikely alliance with fellow tribute Maysilee.

Directed by Francis Lawrence and written by Billy Ray and Michael Lesslie, the film is based on Suzanne Collins’s 2025 novel of the same name.

The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping is set to open in theaters on November 20.
